June nodded and smiled before walking towards the edge of the water.
Peering into the water they fell into before, June realized that it was deeper and bigger than she thought. The water was as big as a football field. At the side of the cave, a waterfall fell right into the side of the water.
"Guys?!"
Hayley's shout woke June from her reverie. She looked over towards where Hayley was pointing and her jaw dropped. Jaxon's skin colour had become extremely red and purple. In his hand he was holding onto a sword, that was glowing purple and orange.
"Oh shit!" June screamed out as she turned around. "Hayley, Susan, Siera, run towards the water." June hollered at them as she rushed towards the water.
Running towards the water, a loud boom was heard behind them.
"Don't look back, keep running!" Susan said as she hurriedly dived into the water.
Hayley, Siera and June followed suit. In the water, Siera wrapped them in an air bubble, while June surrounded them in water to reduce the water pressure from the waterfall. They swam as fast as possible towards the tunnel underneath the waterfall.
As the group neared the tunnel under the waterfall a massive explosion erupted causing the water to slide them into the tunnel.
After hitting the wall, they emerged, coughing and hacking.
"What the hell happened to Jaxon!?" Siera asked as she coughed.
"I don't know, let's just get moving," June said as she helped Hayley up.
The four of them headed further down the tunnel until they reached a large hole with a bolder resting in it. There was an opening big enough for them to crawl through. They crawled out and lay on the ground exhausted and gasping. A few minutes later they all sat up, their legs trembling.
Looking around they noticed they were surrounded by glowing green crystals.
"That's strange. Why are these crystals giving off such light?" Hayley asked.
Siera responded: "They are energy crystals."
Susan added: "Energy crystals can be used for power or healing purposes. However, most energy crystals give off a light blue glow. That means they're mutated."
"Cool, cool, but one question," Hayley said as she looked at Susan and Siera. "How do you so much about this."
"My family is made up of a long line of researchers, so it's not impossible to know this much," Susan answered as she gave Hayley a slight smirk filled with irony and resentment.
"I know because my family studies rare materials and jewels, they own an institute for aspiring gemologists." Sierra quipped in as she looked at the crystals.
With twitching eyes, Hayley said full somnolence. "Anyone else with a huge background here?"
June looked at Hayely and asked. "Why don't you tell us about your family?"
Hayley: "I rather not, on like your family my is too boring."
Susan: "Come on it can't be that bad?"
Staring at Susan expressively Hayley said.
"My family is in charge of the 'biggest information centre' in the whole eastern hemisphere."
Staring at Hayley with shock Siera said. "How is that boring."
Shrugging Hayley looked around.

Jaxon had lightning flashing around him. The sound of a loud explosion rang in his ears, making him wince as he held his head. Opening his eyes he looked around, the area he was in was similar to the one he and the rest fell into. Looking around he noticed another hole in the floor. Jaxon heard two voices. The first belonged to Susan and the second was to Hayley.
"Guys, what are you doing down there?" Jaxon asked as he looked at Susan and the rest.
"Oh, we fell in." Hayley sarcastically answered.
"You guys seem to be stuck in there," Jaxon said as he looked around inside.
All four girls: "No s**h Sherlock!"
