For Sakrem's question, Kane was already prepared: "I wish for my team to act freely on the battlefield as mercenaries, to assist all in this war."
Sakrem seemed to have anticipated Kane's decision and nodded.
After all, groups like Kane's, who arrive together, almost always have their own combat methods and are unlikely to follow the orders of a commander along with regular soldiers.
Not to mention, from his own soldiers, he learned that Kane and his team are incredibly strong, making it even less likely for them to join directly under his command.
