Wu Dade charged out of the town and headed toward the Hell Rift in the desert.
Thanks to the "Lone Sitter by the Gloomy Pond" title from the Fishing Sequence, he didn't draw any attention from the ghost creatures and made it directly to the edge of the rift.
A dark, humanoid ghost creature was just crawling out of the rift.
Wu Dade drew his sword, quietly preparing.
Finally, the creature stood up.
Whoosh—
The blade flashed.
The ghost creature was flung into the air, slashed into pieces.
—Yet it was still clinging to life.
It flew and flew, across the sky, carried by the force of the sword all the way beyond a dune, and crashed into a sandpit that had been prepared in advance.
Wu Xiaode stood at the edge of the pit, casually throwing a punch.
Smack.
The creature's head was blown apart by his fist.
