Fiona wrinkled her nose, her face full of unwillingness. Before she could speak, the call was hung up, and the receiver filled with the beeping of a dead line…
Fiona held her phone and leaned back against the wall again. She lowered her head and silently waited for over half an hour.
It was already one in the morning, but she didn't feel the slightest bit sleepy; her nerves were still taut.
