Her hands kept touching her cheeks, repeatedly asking, "Where? Where did I gain weight?!"
"Hehe..." Seeing her looking so anxious, Emma Benson chuckled softly, pulling down her hands and said, "Don't worry, you're naturally slim. Even if you do gain some weight, you'll look cute... like baby fat!"
While speaking, Emma Benson pinched her cheeks, a smile covering her face. "Besides, you need to eat more for the baby; you can't skip meals for fear of gaining weight. Lack of nutrition is bad for the fetus!"
Emma Benson reached out and gently placed her hand on her friend's belly. She stared fixedly, seemingly mesmerized.
"Emma..." Tara Summer's brows furrowed deeper. She looked at her friend, noticing how she was smiling, but Tara could see the helplessness and sorrow in her eyes.
She opened her mouth, initially intending to offer a few comforting words, but eventually kept silent.
Tara understood her; better not to bring it up, as it would only make Emma more upset.
