Crossley Gibson heard a man's roar from inside and stopped in her tracks.
What's going on? Why such a rage!? She frowned, holding her daughter's hand as they walked to the study door.
"Raleigh, don't make a sound." She leaned down and gently signaled her daughter not to speak.
Raleigh, clever and sensible, nodded obediently, her big eyes watching through the crack in the door.
Crossley also peeked through the crack and saw the twins slightly bowed before the desk, while Ose Owen stood by the floor-to-ceiling window. Since his back was turned, she couldn't see his expression, but being so angry, his face must be quite unpleasant.
Crossley's face darkened slightly with worry, so she softly pushed open the door and stood at the doorway. The twins simultaneously turned their heads, seeing her, they both seemed relieved though their faces were still strained.
"What happened?" she quietly asked, her eyes fixed on the tall back of the man by the window.
