"Oh..." The little girl nodded, frowned, and asked again, "Then why not just say sleep? Why is sleeping called opening a room!?"
Raleigh asked two questions in a row, both of similar nature, and Crossley Gibson's face inexplicably heated up.
Finally able to experience the awkward moments parents must go through, she covered her face, lamenting in her heart: Oh god, she couldn't even explain opening a room, what if Raleigh asks where babies come from or why women have babies, how will she explain then!?
Crossley was troubled and could no longer remain calm; she took her daughter's hand and left the room.
"Where is your sir?" she asked a passing servant in the hall.
"Uncle is in the study..." Raleigh answered first.
Crossley ruffled her daughter's hair and then said to the servant, "Could you please go up and ask Mr. Owen to come down? I have something to discuss with him!"
"Yes." The servants dared not delay and quickly went upstairs to get him.
