The officer grabbed her with a commanding tone: "You are not allowed to go into the water. This is an order!"
"But…"
"What? You want to defy orders!?"
"I…" Donna bit her lip. After forty minutes, she knew that even if she went into the water now, there was no guarantee she could save anyone. Besides, there might be the legendary lake creature at the bottom!
Donna gritted her teeth and sat on the ground despondently, staring blankly at the lake surface, her eyes turning red…
An hour later, as dawn broke, police cars finally arrived with a roar. Nearly a hundred policemen and FBI agents surrounded the scene. The offending driver was sent to the hospital and reportedly died from massive brain bleeding on the way.
Several park administrators arrived at the scene, confirming the bottom of the lake was indeed dangerous. However, it wasn't a lake creature, but possibly piranhas, which is why the lake was designated a forbidden zone.
