"Hmm."
Tang Ye's response merely elicited a simple reply from Dairya, but it seemed she was not willing to end today's reading session. She quickly said, "Mr. Pillay, can I read for a while? Just... just a moment..."
"..." Tang Ye pondered for a moment but eventually agreed.
With his nod, Dairya's mood seemed to improve. She hurried into the store, picked up the book "Hepney's Dream Forest" and headed to the innermost part.
She walked past Tang Ye, who watched her, her thin frame making his heart ache inexplicably. As if thinking of something, Tang Ye's eyes flashed, and he suddenly called out to Dairya, "Dairya."
"Mr. Pillay?"
"You've been waiting outside all day, haven't you?"
"I..." Dairya's reply consisted of just one word, but with her nodding, she admitted to Tang Ye that she had indeed waited at the door for the entire day.
"Is that so... Alright, child, I think you should put the book down."
