"Uh-huh," Jiang Shu said, running his fingers through her hair, "why don't you sit here for a while, then? I'll go and get lunch ready."
"Okay," Liu Tingruo didn't try to insist, settling down to wait on the couch.
Jiang Shu headed into the kitchen and tapped Xiao Yi on the forehead before continuing where Liu Tingruo had left off.
About thirty minutes later, Jiang Shu had prepared a simple two dishes and a soup, plenty for just the two of them to eat.
However, when he came back to the living room to call Sister Ruo to wash up and eat, he found that she had already fallen asleep on the sofa.
"Uh..." Jiang Shu looked at her sound asleep and couldn't help but chuckle to himself.
Indeed, Liu Tingruo had gotten up at seven-thirty in the morning to start helping Jiang Shu, and not long after seeing him off, she busied herself with cooking.
Her efficiency was low, so she had little time to rest.
