After Jiang Shu had sent the message, Wolf's voice call request came through.
"Hello?" Jiang Shu didn't think too much, and answered the call directly.
"Do you want to come with me to the Thirteen District? Then what about your job here? Are you not being a magician anymore?" A string of questions came from the other end of the phone.
"Did you not understand what I meant?" Jiang Shu fished a pie out of the hot oil, then said in a calm tone, "If you need help in the Thirteen District, I'll come to help you; if not, I'll just keep busy with my own things, just like now. Hasn't the police station always been fine without having to call me?"
"Uh, okay." Wolf acknowledged, though his tone shifted slightly, "The police station doesn't call you because I've been handling things, regular cases, I can solve them myself. But the performance is still credited to both of us, I want to see if I can get you a permanent position by the end of the year."
