When the time was about right, Ning Youguang temporarily parted with Shi Wangyue and went downstairs to her room to prepare for the evening banquet.
After she left, Shi Wangyue didn't immediately leave the hotel. Instead, he quickly went down from the 68th-floor café, booked a room at the hotel lobby, and asked the manager, "How can I attend tonight's international psychology conference?"
The hotel manager replied respectfully, "Mr. Shi, if you have a ticket for the banquet or a guest pass for the conference, you can attend the dinner."
Shi Wangyue paused, falling silent.
He didn't have an invitation nor a guest pass.
"Does your hotel have any tickets for the banquet?"
The manager bowed, "I'm sorry, Mr. Shi, the banquet tickets are issued by the organizers."
Shi Wangyue nodded, took out his phone from his pocket, and dialed his assistant.
