Even though Hill didn't know what had happened, he understood that Coron must have given his consent, and that the Toril Gods surely had no objections.
So that world likely had some hidden secrets yet to be uncovered...and William was currently working on digging them up.
As for why the Toril Gods didn't do the digging themselves...Hill was not even slightly surprised. With relationships complex as theirs, it couldn't possibly be that any deities not of their own would be allowed to investigate.
Stories that would bring shame to all the Gods just by hearing them… Even though so many Priests and Holy Knights had gone, Toril hadn't heard a whisper, only proving that these related deities had consciously decided to cover up the matter.
They should all be thankful that Celene and Shaer didn't care about affairs of other universes… Otherwise, had the Priest of the Maiden of the Moon also gone to Felunryel, the whole of Toril would likely have drowned in gossip by now.
