Chapter 48 - The Night Everything Broke

He was so satisfied with what he saw. Her

perfect collarbone was making him hard.

"Jake please get of me,you are not in you

right senses you will will surely regret this

later. "Just shut up and lay down quietly.

Your voice is so irritating.

He began kissing her collarbone ,down to

sucking her mounds and kissing her navel

getting a moan from her. "Ahhh" "Don't worry

at all you will enjoy this. He was very

aggressive on her. Aurora was trying her

possible best to get him off her. Jake

please I beg you don't do this to me, I don't

want to be broken in such a ruthless

manner. I'm not enjoying this at all,I beg you

get off me.

In that moment, Jake froze. A flash of clarity hit him. He saw her trembling beneath him—her eyes wide, her voice cracking, her fear unmistakable. The very girl he swore to protect. The silence between them was louder than any scream.Aurora reached for a glass of water and flung it at his face. Cold droplets broke the spell.

Jake sat up immediately, dazed, reality crashing down. "What… what did I just—?"

Aurora scrambled away, grabbing the blanket to cover herself. Her voice trembled. "You… you were going to hurt me."She couldn't even look at him. Her body shook, her breath came in gasps. "You know what I've been through, Jake. You know what that would've done to me. And still, you—" her voice broke, tears falling freely. "I trusted you."

Jake's heart sank into his stomach. Shame gripped his throat like a noose. "Aurora, I—I didn't mean—"

"You didn't mean to?" she spat, her voice rising. "This is my fourth time, Jake. FOURTH. And you were supposed to be the one place I was safe." Jake fell to his knees. "I'm sorry… I don't expect you to forgive me. I was broken. Drunk. I wasn't thinking—"

"That's always your excuse!" she screamed. "Grief, pain, alcohol—it's always something. But the person who ends up bleeding is always me!" He tried to reach for her. She recoiled. "Don't touch me. Don't even come near me."Would you… would you still come home with me?" Jake's voice was hollow.

Aurora looked at him in disbelief. "What are you trying to prove? That you can still own me after this?"

Jake's face twisted with guilt. "I'm sorry for trying to… for losing control. I hate myself for it. But I still believe you're the reason my mother died." Aurora stared at him in horror. "That's enough. GET OUT! I said leave!"

Her voice cracked into sobs as she screamed. Jake lingered for a second, then turned away, his own eyes glassy. She collapsed to the floor in tears—and passed out from exhaustion.

When Aurora opened her eyes, she wasn't on the cold floor anymore. She was in Jake's bed. Confused, she tried to sit up only to see him walking in with a tray of breakfast.

"Why am I here?" she asked, voice flat.

"Eat something," he said softly, avoiding her gaze."I asked you a question, Jake. Do you think I'm your property? Read my lips—it's over. I don't want this anymore."He stared at her, stunned."I'm not staying here. I want to go home. To my parents' house. Now."
