"I heard that Miss Kennedy and Mr. Lord were university classmates?" Charlotte Allison mused, supporting her chin with the back of her hand, slightly tilting her head. The light above her fell around like stardust.
"Yes, Miss Kennedy had quite an affection for Mr. Lord during university, so she was the one who initiated this marriage proposal, and Mr. Lord accepted." Caroline answered, her gaze landing on Charlotte Allison's face with pure admiration.
The words beautiful and pretty seemed insufficient to describe Caroline's praise for her.
