If Mrs. Quinn hadn't come out to stop him, Noah Quinn could have kicked a few more times.
"Noah, go kneel in the ancestral hall for four hours," Mrs. Quinn said sternly.
Noah replied, "Got it."
Then he stomped heavily on Mason Quinn once more, murmuring, "You damn well deserve it!"
He shouldn't have provoked his brother!
Then he quickly walked towards the ancestral hall.
Mason watched Noah's retreating figure, hiding a fierce glance that went unnoticed.
In front of Mrs. Quinn, he showed no malice toward anyone, like a tamed tiger, obedient and compliant.
Mrs. Quinn still valued Mason quite a bit. Seeing him treated this way by the Quinn brothers, she had someone set his dislocated jaw and arm back in place and comforted him a bit.
Then sternly said, "Noah's behavior is simply unacceptable! You can't just tolerate him, letting him get away with everything! No regard for rules."
