Mrs. Quinn is the most particular about rules, and in her eyes, Lucas Quinn's outfit looked mismatched and inappropriate.
She furrowed her brows, held back her words of admonition, and asked, "Lucas, there was trouble at home last night, yet as the Family Head, you were unreachable all night. Is this how a Family Head should be?"
"You know, my health isn't good, and my sleep requires assurance, so I have the habit of turning off my phone when I sleep," Lucas explained without much sincerity.
"Yes, I heard my dad and Uncle Quinn got into a fight. They're both quite old now, yet still so impulsive, as if they were youngsters in their teens or twenties with strong bones healing quickly even if they got broken. Haven't seen either of them yet—are they both still alive?"
Lucas spoke as if his words were straightforward yet indirectly provocative.
"Lucas!" Mrs. Quinn was very dissatisfied with his gloating attitude and called him out warningly.
