Charlotte Allison carried on her work as if he wasn't there at all.
After about half an hour, she got up and walked over to the sofa, seeing Henry Shipton lying there, sleeping peacefully.
She took a blanket from the lounge and covered him, then continued working. In the meantime, Ivy Price came in, saw Henry lying on the sofa, and left after a few low-voiced exchanges without showing any signs of surprise.
When she finished her work, George Allison came to ask her to go home together. She got up, prepared a glass of water for him, placed it on the coffee table next to the sofa, left a small light on, and then left the office to go home.
On the way downstairs, George asked her, "Is that Henry?"
Charlotte nodded, "Yeah, he's got something on his mind. Let him sleep, he'll leave when he wakes up."
Whatever was troubling Henry, he never mentioned it, and she never asked, only knowing that he had a hurdle he couldn't get over, which occasionally made him uncomfortable.
