"Sis, don't be mad, I really didn't mean to..." Lucas Quinn leaned in, hugging her gently and coaxing softly.
"Shut up!" Charlotte Allison chided without any real force. Just thinking about what she said last night made her face flush with heat.
"Sis, I'm sorry, please don't be mad at me, I won't dare next time." Lucas murmured against her neck, his voice filled with genuine guilt and self-reproach.
"It's my fault." His voice was nasal and soft, instantly melting Charlotte's heart.
Realizing she might have scared him with her harsh tone, she softened her voice, "I'm not mad, you did a great job."
She just felt a bit ashamed and didn't want to hear him repeat what she said last night.
"So does Sis like it?" The little rascal nestled against her neck dared to ask, using his innocent face and voice to his advantage.
Charlotte's eyes flickered. Though rational, she found it hard to voice her feelings now.
After a moment, she gave a dry response, "Mm."
