"The rumors are spreading like wildfire online, what did Thomas Allison do that was so outrageous for Charlotte Allison to take him down?" Mr. Shipton asked.
"Dad, you used to threaten me to stay away from Charlotte Allison, and now you're asking me about her issues. Aren't you afraid I'll cause her trouble?" Henry Shipton leisurely buttoned up his shirt that he had ripped open and straightened his tie.
Instantly, he transformed from a playboy to a respectable gentleman.
"Don't give me that nonsense. Your mom's right; if you have the ability to marry Charlotte and she can keep you in line, that would be great." Mr. Shipton agreed wholeheartedly; frankly, not many could manage his son, but Charlotte had been able to handle this brat since they were young.

If he wanted to marry her, she'd still have to be willing to marry him.
