After all the commotion, Charlotte Allison realized Lucas Quinn's skills were not as weak as she had thought.
"Have you learned before?" She nudged his knee with her toes.
"Yes, I've learned a bit." Sitting cross-legged on the ground, he looked up at her, "Sorry, I kept it from you."
"I want to learn more, so I can protect you." He added, sounding obedient, humble, and pitiful.
Charlotte felt her heart soften and handed him a bottle of water after unscrewing it.
She gently ruffled his hair and said, "Lucas, you don't need to tell me every single thing. I trust you. You can have your own secrets. There's no need to apologize for this. Got it?"
Feeling the warmth from the top of his head, Lucas held the water bottle and nodded obediently: "Mm-hmm."
He looked at the person sitting beside him, tilted his head, and acted cute, "Then Charlotte, if you find out I have secrets from you, you can't be angry, okay?"
