He kissed me again, this time slower, deeper—like he wanted to memorize the shape of my mouth, the rhythm of my breath. Our legs tangled beneath the sheets, bare skin meeting bare skin, and the heat between us ignited like wildfire.
I arched into him, and he groaned against my neck, "You feel like everything I never thought I deserved."
"You do," I said, pulling him closer. "You always did."
And then—everything blurred into heat and sensation.
His breath hitched as I rolled us over, straddling him slowly, the moonlight slicing across the bed. I ran my fingers down his chest, my fire meeting his wind in soft pulses of magic that danced along our skin. He looked up at me like I was the stars themselves.
"Say it again," I whispered.
His voice was hoarse, wrecked, utterly undone. "You're the only thing I'd burn the world for."
