I kissed him. Soft, then a little deeper, my fingers curling into his hair. His hand slid behind my neck, tilting my head, kissing me like I was the breath he'd been holding back all this time.
But of course—of course—right when things started heating up…
Knock knock knock.
We both froze.
The knock came again, this time followed by a muffled voice:"Selene! Azriel! Open up before I burn this door down!"Zion.
I groaned into Azriel's neck. "Please tell me that was just a hallucination."
Azriel sighed. "Nope. That was your overprotective brother and his girlfriend. Who, might I remind you, knows everything."
"Ughhh. I swear if Grace brings up the scars again I'm going to cry and punch something."
Azriel stood up, hauling me with him bridal-style and plopping me on the couch again. "Stay here. Let me deal with them."
He walked to the door and opened it, instantly met with Zion's scowl and Grace's awkward smile.
