When Lorraine Hughes was going upstairs, she happened to meet Haley Summers coming down.
The stairs were too narrow, so Haley stopped at the turn and looked at Lorraine.
The girl in front of him had just returned from her morning run, her cheeks flushed with post-exercise redness, and her forehead was covered in tiny beads of sweat, even the small strands of hair at her temples felt damp.
He had clearly used Annabelle Hughes to vent his frustrations all night, yet when he saw Lorraine, he still couldn't resist his urge to bait her.
"Back already? Since when did you start liking morning runs?" Haley asked softly, pretending to be oblivious of the fact that the one who caused havoc last night was Lorraine.
"Since I threw the loudspeaker." Lorraine crossed her arms over her chest, her chin contemptuously pointing at Haley.
