At the construction site, the shift is almost over.
John's alarm has already gone off; in half an hour, his day of torment will be over.
His fingers are still tingling, and he's put off doing the manual work for a few days.
He's tried to hide the fact that he can't perform as he normally would.
He excused himself by saying that he's reviewing her work before releasing her.
Officer Clive approaches her cubicle, leaning against one of the walls.
Since they're not high, he can see her from outside.
He asks if they can chat after her closing time.
A new suspect has appeared: Cristina's boyfriend.
This takes Jhon a little off his rocker. It takes him a second to react.
He managed to say if they could go chat, but what caught his attention was why she mentioned him. Jhon had never met Cristina's boyfriend.
Clive stared into Jhon's eyes.
A few seconds later, he plastered on a slight smile that didn't show in his eyes.
He only managed to tell him that this man did know Jhon.
Jhon looked away and arranged some plans on his desk.
He told him he'd have everything ready by departure time so he wouldn't leave any things unfinished.
If he'd excuse him, he'd hurry.
Clive watched him for a few seconds, trying to detect any changes in his movements; he didn't seem to be nervous.
