The sheer scale of the explosion that erupted was greater than anything Rui had expected from the planet. It was so powerful, in fact, that even Rui had to exert himself to protect Gaia from it while also divided with restraining the gravitational influence of the two creatures, and keeping the wormhole open.

Garg quaked as he did his absolute best, struggling to defend against the power of Jormungandr. The planet began spewing lava; it began unleashing what little esoteric prowess it had.
The attacks certainly struck and even damaged the exterior of Jomungandr, threatening to melt its scales.
And the serpent head on, pressing harder and harder. It was not a python, which was why its ability to squeeze was limited by the standards of a snake of its proportions. But that didn't matter, the serpent went all out with everything that it had at its disposal, ensuring that it caused as much structural damage to Garg as it possibly could.
