Ria stared at Kane silently, sitting straight as Fae took delight in doing her hair from scratch all over again, humming lightly as she combed the young lady's beautiful hair. Fae loved her son with all the love in her heart, but she would be lying if she said she also wanted a daughter, giving Kane a suggestive stare.
Kane smiled wryly, turning back to Ria with an amused expression. The girl was still trying to size him up, an adorable action from a Martial Sage was may as well have been a newborn baby to him. Her surprise was understandable, though. As the first Corporeal Transcendent Candidate with hyperdimensional proficiency and a Legislated body, he was so powerful that he truly had the capital to challenge and hold his own against the top-ten non-Transcendent pathwalkers, perhaps even able to best the weaker among them.
"You've grown a lot stronger in just a few months, Uncle Kane," she muttered with confusion. "I thought I was the only one who did that."
