Looking at the recording interface on Riley Thompson's phone, Charlotte Thompson's lips curled up.
"Using the same trick twice holds no real meaning. You really haven't changed at all, Evelyn Curtis."
"What did you say!"
The last three words spoken by Charlotte made Riley's pupils contract tightly.
An icy chill swept over her entire body, causing her to even forget the pain in her wrist from Charlotte's grip.
However, despite clearly observing Riley's reaction, Charlotte put on a show of regret:
"Ah, sorry, I just saw a familiar shadow in you, and couldn't hold back from calling out her name."
Riley violently shook off Charlotte's grip.
Although she realized her reaction was somewhat excessive, Riley now felt a void in her heart, and her facial expression became increasingly unnatural.
She opened her mouth, originally wanting to change the subject, but when she looked up, she met Charlotte's eyes, full of sarcasm and mockery.
Instantly, Riley's mood plummeted to the bottom.
