"I never thought I'd run into Leon Battleson in the restaurant today."
Charlotte Thompson looked up at Justin Battleson in front of her, telling him everything that had happened today.
But after hearing Charlotte's explanation, Justin's expression didn't soften much, and he even cast a slightly scrutinizing gaze upon her.
This look from Justin made Charlotte a bit uneasy, and even her voice sounded somewhat aggrieved.
"Don't you trust me?"
Justin took a deep breath, calming the irritation in his chest, and then slightly tightened his grip, pulling Charlotte into his embrace.
His cheek buried in Charlotte's neck, his arms almost using all their strength to confine her, as if wanting to meld her into his own body.
"Then why did he touch you?" Justin's voice was somewhat muffled.
"He suddenly grabbed my hand, and I couldn't break free." Charlotte explained softly.
