The large conference room was split into two extremes.
One side was jubilant, excited.
The other was livid, cursing vociferously.
"Bang, bang!" a middle-aged man pounded his fists on the conference table several times.
A police officer immediately spoke up to stop him:
"What are you doing?"
"Sit down!"
"Do you know where you are? How dare you run wild here?"
The veins on the man's forehead bulged with anger:
"Officer, is there a mistake? How could this be? The person died at their hands, and yet they bear no responsibility? That makes no sense!"
"Yes, yes, officer, is there an issue with this assessment?"
"Could there be some sort of cover-up?"
A barrage of questions left the policemen and forensic workers in the room with faces so dark they might have dripped ink.
"Quiet, everyone quiet!" Lao Zhu called out while rubbing his forehead.
The family members quieted for a moment, then resumed:
"On what grounds? We'll report you, your handling is unjust!"
