"Don't you know?
I've been wearing my heels;
Throughout my highs and lows,
Used to cutting edges;
When things felt so out of place,
But, as the moment our clock froze on its own,
I bear with the darkness as it has been my witness;
It's only been three months, but it felt like ages,
And trust me, it drowns me — so many things left unsaid.
"Don't you know?"
Because you couldn't even hear me,
Nor did you try reading between the lines,
It's true that my hands have lost their grip,
But my mind knows — a heart cannot grow fonder on empty words. And so it froze.
My mind can't even comprehend how you didn't even say goodbye,
But your silence echoed the truth,
You made it certain that inconsistency is your policy,
You seem so mature but can't even practice a sense of accountability,
An emotional drifter and such a table-turner,
It drained me to my very core,
It made me question myself: "Why should I still care?"
So I played it through tapes of melancholy,
Isolating my thoughts to all those unsung melodies,
And whispered the conclusion:
"A cascade of disappointments from someone is a toll on a sane mind."
"If this was meant for me, why did it cost me so much mentally?"
Three months have passed;
I toss in bed, can't get you out of my head,
The silence is so loud — saying "I don't miss you" is a lie,
But the weight of reality is what I can't deny.
So when thoughts of you slip in,
They only build my walls higher.
Fast forward — October second:
I found a message from you,
Saying, "I still think of you. I miss you more than I should."
In that moment, my heart felt like a butterfly trapped and unable to fly,
Torn between replying or walking away.
But I was more foolish than hesitant,
And in that rush of feeling, I thought: "Maybe this time… I'll give it a try."
Maybe this time, there's a brighter side…
