Standing her ground, Feerah refused to be outdone by the traitorous elder. She parried each blow thrown her way and leered back at Baston. "What are you hoping to achieve? The city would never hold you up like they do Tiberius!"
"I hope to give this city what it deserves. A ruler that fights for them and protects them!" Baston said. "Under Briston, that's more than possible!"
Chting, zrrch! Fwhisssh!
Baston's perimeter continued to press down on Feerah and her wind perimeter. However, Feerah also ramped up her perimeter and veita output. It didn't eclipse or fully counter Baston's, but Feerah and her evolved, blue wind clashed against the blue lightning without ever slowing down.
Irked, Baston pushed against the commander to no avail. If he pushed too hard, Feerah used her agility to reposition herself to the side instead of being knocked back. The likely outcome still leaned in Baston's favor. But there was no certainty.
