He called Erebus so many times over to ask if Liana had returned, but everytime, he would be replied with, "no, commander. She is not in her chamber yet."
After receiving the news from his brother, King Astrid, that Luke had been found by their third brother, Jasper, in the human world, he was too thrilled to inform Liana that her brother wasn't dead and that he would be coming back to Perdio soon. But during those hours he was waiting for her return, he had a rethink about his overwhelming decision.
He could let this news get in his head and unsettle his mission.
He knew if he divulged to Liana that the Black Brothers were the ones who had saved her brother, and with their help again, he would be coming back to his Pack very soon, she would feel grateful to him, and something might come out of their empty relationship. But then, it would be her gratitude that brought them closer, not because she loved him and yearned for him as her mate.
