Henry entered the house as it was not locked, the door opened smoothly that it didn't even make a squeak. There was no strange scent in the air, other than it being clean that and it was empty and quiet.
Standing from the door, he looked, smelled, and listened for anything strange inside, but once again he came up with nothing.
Stepping inside, his heavy footsteps echoed across the house. The first place he passed by appeared to be the living room, but it was empty. There were a few seats and a fireplace, but other than that it was empty as there were no ornaments or decorations on the walls or even the small nearby tables.
The same was for the kitchen, all he used to identify this place as a kitchen was the sink, as it was the only thing available, not even a tap was there. The bathroom only had a toilet pot, and the bedroom; was just a small bed. But each room had windows that made him able to gaze at the golden fields shimmering under the ever bright sunless sky.
"One more room left, if there is nothing more am leaving." He sighed as he pushed the last door open.
There was a table and chair in this room, it seemed like a small personal office, Henry would have not even bothered to enter if it was not for the strange feeling this room was emitting. And so he did, as he closed the door behind him while making his way towards the chair on the other side of the table.
He sat on it as he made himself comfortable, but not a moment too soon a golden ball the size of a tennis ball rose up from the table and just floated there, gently shinning its radiance that one might even confuse it for a mini sun.
"Now, this is a reaction at last." Smiled Henry as he reached his hand for the ball.
It was smooth, warm, and hard too. Giving it a tight squeeze, he could feel that he could easily break it. Now he was confused about what to do with it.
That was until a thought came into his mind; blood.
Perhaps he needed to feed it blood, he didn't have any internal energy of any kind as far as he could feel that he could pour in the ball, perhaps there was but not at the moment, yet there was that intuitive feeling again that said his blood would be the key to unlocking this mystery, and so he bit his finger enough to draw blood and bled it on the smooth ball.
And it seeped into the smooth and hard surface as if it was a sponge.
The ball then began to change color, now it was gold with a blood-red center.
"Interesting, seems like I heal faster too," Henry said as he stared at his healing wound, soon enough there was not even a scar. But as he was about to wonder what he must do next, the ball suddenly shone a bright light that almost blinded him, forcing Henry to close his eyes tightly as he was washed by a warm sensation.
Unlike the time he got his powers and the warmth washed his entire body, this sensation drilled towards his head with an ever-increasing heat!
Within moments, Henry felt as if he was going to get his brain fried as he grits his teeth at the increasing pain.
It was as if someone was drilling burning red hot iron in his skull from all directions, numbing the rest of his body as if they had been shut down.
Just as he was to scream as he felt that the pain was about to get even higher, the pain started to decrease. Soon enough he was able to feel the rest of his body again, opening his eyes he was back on his sofa with the TV still playing but drenched in sweat and feeling a mild headache as well as weak.
"That was an experience." He chuckled lightly as but soon winced slightly at the action.
Sitting for a few minutes, he was feeling better once again. The pain had disappeared and the weak feeling that made him lay there was gone.
Leaping up from the sofa, he ran towards the bathroom to get himself cleaned up first before he even looks inside his head at the new things he felt in his head that basically drilled in there.
Within minutes he was done, and wore tight blue jean pants, and a black shirt and picked up his black leather jacket as well as a nice pair of fingerless gloves.
Sitting on a chair by the kitchen island while eating an apple he now took the time to see what was in his mind.
If there were people next to him they would see Henry get frozen for a full 5 minutes with an apple in his mouth looking blankly in space as if he had gone dumb.
But he began to move again as he first blinked and rubbed his temple for a moment before exhaling loudly.
After that, a smile began to creep on his face before bursting into a loud and crazy laughter.
"HAHAHA! To think all this time, I was never normal! HAHAHA!" He laughed so hard that tears began to fall from his eyes.
He calmed down a while later as he began to review what he had just learned.
First of all, he was not human.
He never was even in his past world. He was born by humans, but he was not a human being.
See he was a race called Void Dweller, a place beyond universes, multiverses, or even the omniverse or verses.
How he was here, simple. His race was rare, very, very rare that there would be around one of them per omniverse. And they were strong enough to create and destroy said omniverse many times over.
But the problem was that they are super vulnerable during juvenile stages that any being that can of them and take their power and potential intentional or unintentional.
So they have a mechanism at birth that enables them to hide, as they grow in power very slowly during the juvenile stages. This means that they seal themselves even from themselves, like self-hypnosis as they place themselves into a fetus in a completely random world. They can stay like that until death and awaken in another world, or even awaken after hundreds of worlds and reincarnations.
But each Dweller was different and followed no similar path and age, meaning that there is no system, logic, or rule they all follow. Each was random and fit specifically to each individual. Somewhere even overpowered at birth, some as weak as a normal human, like Henry.
But each one had a certain way to grow and get stronger as well as different paths in their juvenile stages, adolescent, and adult stages for each individual Dweller.
Yet no stage was the same for each one.
In other words, it was a very random but extremely overpowered race!
Now comes the part of Henry, as he was different too. His seal broke early and differently, pushing him to a different world too. That and he was going to get stronger even differently.
"Hah! To think I would travel to worlds doing missions to earn world essence, or should I call it 'Quintessence' now?" He smiled at this thought, Henry's power in his juvenile stage was like a contract that Worlds sign in agreement for a mission they want from him, and in the end if he succeeds they give him their quintessence that enables him to grow passed his stage.
As for the next stage, well he would worry about that once he gets there.
Now for Worlds, he meant World Consciousness or Will of worlds.
Turns out that worlds are alive and they knew what was happening to them, so the moment he got his hereditary memories back it also was the moment he instinctively broadcasted to worlds of this universe if they needed help, any help, from extermination, protection, and saving.
He was all up for it, and the price depended on the size of the problem.
He was like a universal handyman, protector, or even exterminator. Of course, he could also visit a world that he wanted or even refuse some contracts he didn't want.
"Now I just have to wait and see which world would answer my request." He mused as he finished his apple down to the pit as he continued,
"Now as a juvenile of my species, I am quite lucky to have a few abilities." He spoke gently to himself as he once more focused on what he had received.
The most important one was the one that enabled him to communicate and enter the realm of the Will of Worlds and this was one realm that even gods themselves couldn't enter at will at all as the worlds would always use avatars to communicate with their inhabitants, but with this ability he would enter the core of worlds, to say the least.
The second one was his aura; he could project his emotions to beings easily, but this was just what he currently could do at the moment.
But these two were only passive, his active were three; two offensive and one defense.
If one discounted the fact that he could shift into two powerful forms that multiplied his powers by extreme margins, as well as his martial prowess, then the next abilities were like adding wings to a tiger, or in his case, a lion.
While not actually wings, one of the offensive abilities he had was an elemental ability or affinity as well as extreme resistance to the element that was Fire.
Fire that he could wield and empower as he pleased and it all depended on his stamina to keep burning, and it was from within him, it would be very useful in any world, even if it was a desert world he would never feel hot, instead perhaps replenished and rejuvenated.
'Very useful ability.' Mused Henry as his mind ran through ideas on how to wield and use this power from the fictional works of his past life as references while in his palm a tiny dancing flame figure of Maud appeared on his palm that he gazed at gently still lost in thought.
He then let it vanish as he stood up, while he calmly thought of the last two; one was a weapon that he could change at will, given his mastery of weapons this was a boon, and the last was simple.
It was armor.
It made him nearly impervious to all kinds of damage, from physical, magical, elemental, dark, curse, and soul damages. And for a near-impenetrable armor like that, it deserved a name that closely resembled a lion that was also near-invincible in terms of defense.
'Nemean Armor' Henry chuckled at the name of a beast that was killed by a demi-god in mythical history.
'Perhaps if we meet in the future, son of Zeus. We shall see who would will this time.' He thought as a battle-hungry smile made its way to his face.
A fun fact that he discovered was that his current strength and powers equaled that of a demi-god. And coupled with the fact that he was just a mere baby of his race made it was incredulous.
A baby of his race was as strong as a half-god, and by his race's standards, he was still in his diapers!
Though this thought made his expression a little sour before he threw it out of his head and shrugged, after all, what he could he do but grow stronger and faster with each mission complete, though at times there be babies of his race that could rewrite realities.
As said before, it was a very random race.
And with that, he went to the garage. There he picked up his helmet this time for he was going to use his motorcycle. It was a black, silver, and grey large bike, in his past life it would have been known as a Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS.
But in this one, it was its counterpart.
Shrugging his shoulders, he got on and put on his helmet as he waited for the garage to open. Once it did he rode out and the gates locked themselves automatically destination;
The mall.
Reaching the mall, he really didn't have much of a reason to come here other than to relax and to enjoy the little things in his long eternal life, which was a thing now that he had awakened his power.
Parking his bike and placed his helmet in the compartment of his bike that was conveniently attached to it. Henry then walked towards the building while getting glances, which he ignored and carried on his path.
Almost all of them, as there was but a single one that read very differently on his radar. But he too ignored it.
For now, at least.
Entering the mall, it was bright, clean, and simple. But there was always beauty in simplicity, so he just smiled at that thought and moved on. Leaving a few of the females that saw that stare at his back in a daze.
What Henry didn't notice was that during this awakening, he had actually gotten even more handsome, his posture, pace, aura, and charm had increased, if he was A-Class before, now he was AAA-Class, and he is still in his juvenile stage.
He reached the map of the mall and looked at it to see which places he would like to check out, as he ignored the gazes he kept getting.
Even those of his new stalker.
