"How do I have so many things?"
"Most of them are local specialties you need!" Even Tunner explained.
"Why did you buy so much?" Lenny asked in surprise.
"Bought a bit more, so the other students can share too!" Even Tunner replied with a smile.
"They'll think I'm some nouveau riche!" Lenny said bluntly.
Even Tunner just smiled without responding.
Lenny felt a bit awkward because her dad really was a nouveau riche.
After getting in the car, Lenny suddenly remembered an important question,
leaned a bit closer to Even Tunner, and whispered,
"Uncle, do I have to pay for these things from my allowance?"
"No need!" Even Tunner glanced at her and replied.
Lenny immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
Since she bought that outfit for Mr. Tunner, she barely had any allowance left.
She just hoped he wouldn't charge her back.
"Even Tunner, just drop me off near the school!"
"Can you carry all these things by yourself?" Even Tunner asked.
