"Bye bye!"
After hanging up the phone, Lenny looked up and saw Even Tunner, then explained,
"I forgot that I made plans with my friend today to go to another friend's house to hang out.
In a bit, you don't need to drive me back, I'll just walk across the street and meet up with my friend."
"Did you inform your mom in advance?" Even Tunner asked.
"I'll call my mom in a bit and let her know."
"It's best to call her now, and if it's okay, I'll drive you over." Even Tunner insisted.
Lenny could finally confirm that Mr. Tunner was just as picky and troublesome as her mom.
Ultimately, she decided to call home first.
