When the morning sun began to shine through the partially concealed window looming over our bed, I sadly began to emerge from my blissful slumber, consciousness clawing its way out of me as I blinked away sleep... slowly.
The first thing that registered in my addled mind was the fact that I was, in fact, actually able to take this morning slow, followed immediately by how delightfully warm and soft this mattress was as I sat up and accepted that I was now awake.
Trying to fall back asleep was rather difficult for me right now - I wanted to make it difficult for myself, anyways - thanks to the time on the road, so I just tried to get myself into an acceptable state before the call of this wonderful, lovely and practically divine bed could lure me into becoming a sloth.
