A gentle and charming female voice came through the receiver, and Qin Wanyi felt a weight lift from her chest.
Hanging up the phone, she received a text from an unknown number: "I'm going to hide for a few days. If you don't want to die with me, transfer the money quickly!"
Though the words were harsh, Qin Wanyi felt as if she had just received the best news lately.
She was oblivious to the blood flowing from her fingertips, staining her hand, as she dashed to the study to turn on the computer.
In just a few minutes, the screen displayed that the funds had successfully been transferred to the other account.
Qin Wanyi let out a long breath, lazily collapsing onto the sofa.
Looking back, the night outside was dense and heavy.
The mirror-like glass reflected Qin Wanyi's beautiful face, yet she seemed to see Ye Wan's stunning face through the night.
