"What? Lord Chu returned to the capital to report on his duties?"
Lu Zheng was strolling around town with Lin Wan and casually stopped by the Anomaly Suppression Bureau, originally intending to inform Chu Jin about the demonic Qi in Pingdong Dao, but to his surprise, Chu Jin wasn't there.
"Lord Chu has earned quite a few merits over the past few years; he might get promoted," Du Huanzhen said with a smiling look at Lu Zheng, because as far as she knew, many of Chu Jin's accomplishments involved Lu Zheng.
"That's a good thing. Where will he be promoted to?" Lu Zheng asked with a smile.
"How would I know? It depends on whether there's an opening somewhere." Du Huanzhen shook her head, "He might just be promoted by half a rank and stay in his current position."
Duan Changzai wasn't on a mission either; upon hearing Lu Zheng had arrived, he came over to greet him, "It's rare for Younger Brother Lu to visit Yizhou, let's have a small gathering tonight."
Lu Zheng grinned, "Where?"
