Lu Lin seemed to have slept for a long time, or perhaps just for a short while.
He opened his eyes and saw his dad sleeping next to the bed, gently moving slightly.
That slight movement immediately startled his dad awake.
He looked at Lu Lin, a smile spreading at the corners of his eyes.
For at least six years, even longer, Lu Lin hadn't properly looked at his dad's face.
He smiled, crow's feet appearing at the corners of his eyes.
"Son, you're awake. How do you feel?"
"Dad, I'm fine. Where's mom?"
"Your mom is home preparing breakfast for you. Mr. Zhao said you'd wake up today, and he was right."
"Breakfast?"
Lu Lin sat up, rubbed his forehead, "Dad, how long was I asleep?"
"Not long, a day."
"Oh yes, Mr. Zhao said to contact him as soon as you woke up."
"Okay."
Lu Lin opened his personal terminal and called Zhao Lei, who said he would come over right away.
