And though it was called a forest, the trees there didn't seem very robust, appearing somewhat stunted and as if malnourished.
The beasts on this land were truly pitiful.
This is what it thought in its heart.
Yet the lizard beast was utterly satisfied with it, temporarily settling its tribe here.
This forest, in the eyes of all the nearby beasts, was a good place, naturally making it out of the question for it to be ownerless.
However, the ones occupying it were a bird-like beast species.
In this way, coexistence was not impossible between them.
The bird-like beast species was also of an emperor lineage, its leader of emperor rank as well. After several engagements with the lizard beasts that ended in a draw, they ceased to expel them, allowing the lizard beasts to live there tacitly.
As time went on, a degree of friendship also developed between the bird-like beast leader and the lizard beasts.
They no longer fought upon meeting and occasionally chatted about other things.
