After being saved by Maria's team, Elena and her friends finally learned what they had been seeking.
"Have you seen that thing, girls?" Alma asked. "It looks like a giant black octopus with red eyes and tentacles covered in mouths."
"It must have come from the Nightmare Rift up there," Maria said. "The rift is empty and slowly closing, so it somehow escaped…"
"Well… uhh," Elena muttered. "I think… we know who you're talking about."
"Yep, that eldritch thing that tried to kill us all? We saw it!" Elena added. "Elena's mom punched it away toward there!"
"Huh, that's exactly where your mom is, right?" Maria asked.
"Close. We'll find her there…" Elena replied.
"Then once we find our target, we'll split up. Is that fine with you?" Emily asked.
"It's completely fine!" Elena nodded.
