The reason the threshold for enrolling disciples at the Mystic God Temple is exceedingly high is because they hope to cultivate transcendents who can all become Skywalkers. Those with weak talents have no chance of crossing that threshold.
Not becoming a Skywalker holds no significance for someone cultivating at the Mystic God Temple. Even if they leave the Mystic God Temple in the future, they would be embarrassed to tell others they were once a cultivator there.
