Evelyn Winter stood at the kindergarten gate, her clothes disheveled, leaves and dry grass tangled in her hair, as the teacher used wet wipes to clean her face.
She still looked sulky, as though she were holding a grudge against someone.
Arnold Simmons had been to the kindergarten before, so the teacher naturally recognized him and briefly explained what had happened.
After the incident where Evelyn Winter held a wedding for herself and made the entire class cry, she'd now added another bizarre feat to her record: arguing with a dog.
Thankfully, it was through a fence, so neither party was injured.
After explaining the situation, the teacher handed Evelyn over to Arnold.
Today, she got to leave early again.
"Arguing with a dog?" Arnold stared down at her round head and messy hair. "Evelyn Winter, what were you thinking?"
Evelyn tugged at her backpack straps, blowing at the loose strands of hair on her forehead, her tone ice-cold. "You wouldn't understand."
