"Why are you carrying a backpack, off to class?" Arnold Simmons asked with a smile.
Hannah took a seat opposite him, set down her backpack, and hugged it in her arms, "No, this is the homework I brought for you."
She unzipped the backpack to reveal a neat pile of test papers and a few workbooks.
No wonder she ran the short distance here breathlessly.
It must be because of the heavy load of homework.
He shouldn't have asked that question. After a moment of silence, he spoke softly, "I never do homework."
Hannah closed the backpack and moved forward in her seat, "But the homework is given out to you every time."
"Maybe it's because I paid for it," Arnold Simmons said, raising an eyebrow with a smile.
Hannah nodded thoughtfully, as if considering something, then after a while added, "Wouldn't it be a waste if you paid and then didn't do the homework?"
