"You've really changed, haven't you?" Faylen teased, smiling at Shade. "You've changed so much."
"Not more than you two," Shade replied. "I went through a lot myself, but I owe most of it to Nepheline. She was always there for me. Even after I was cruel to her so many times… even after I tried to kill all of you… you still stopped me. You forgave me. You gave me a second chance when no one else ever had."
