Yang Li activated this mechanism when Mang Xu parried the metal claw using his stick. The claw tightened its grip and grabbed Mang Xu's stick.
While Mang Xu was immobilized, Yang Li used Fire Breath. Searing fire washed over Mang Xu. It was so hot that he screamed in pain and was forced to let go of his weapon. Yang Li didn't let him go. She continued to pour flames out of her mouth. Mang Xu was backed into a corner with nowhere to run while raging flames continued to cook him.
Desperate to free himself from the suffering, he charged forward while enduring the burning.
