Amon restrained himself from releasing his top minions until Xia Gao came near him. He did this to catch the high cardinal off-guard.
Bo Wu, Altered Yuka, and the new altered beast made of the wild dragon Amon captured pounced at the Ancestor Stage cultivators around Amon, clearing the way. Di Ying went directly for Xia Gao.
Xia Gao was startled by these beasts' abrupt appearance. Even in the upper world, he had never known of space rings that could hold living beings. Di Ying immediately lunged the moment she appeared. She released an explosive shockwave as she lunged. The shockwave shoved everyone away, clearing the way. Her speed let her arrive in the blink of an eye. Xia Gao suddenly found a giant mouth full of sharp teeth in front of him.
