Amon returned to the quiet spot beside the river and resumed cultivating while observing the village.
The villagers held a festival the next day, no doubt to welcome the resistance members. Amon found the festival slightly out of place. Perhaps because he had never seen one in the upper world, this reinforced the idea that the Holy Temple's grip in this village was less strict than in the other settlement.
Gui Chang and Nong Sa came to invite Amon to join the festival, but Amon refused. He didn't move from that spot till the next night, when the gathering took place.
