The moment Jacob stored the infinity-shaped object inside the Infinity Pendant, the connection between it and Immortal Nimrod's main body vanished.
Inside the Universal Void, Immortal Nimrod's abyss-like eyes widened before a terrifying killing intent erupted with a hint of panic, which wasn't something seen in a being like him.
The reason was simple. For countless ages, he had waited for that object, and then, with meticulous planning, he acquired it.
As a result, he guarded that object more than his own life. He had never allowed it to leave his possession, nor had he entrusted it to anyone or anything.
Even when he sent his avatar across the countless layers separating the Universal Void from the lower planes, he gave it to the avatar only because the circumstances were different this time.
